Characteristics
This coffee is cultivated in the Villa Rica district in the department of Pasco, Peru, at altitudes ranging between 1,400 and 1,800 meters.
Description
Only the best coffee varieties were chosen to create this new Single Origin line. In Peru, small producers got together based on cooperative principles in 1960, and still maintain their traditional “hand-picking” method.
Varieties include Catimor, Caturra, Typica and Bourbon.
Harvest season is from April to September, after which the coffee is mechanically washed and, where possible, sun-dried. Its color is bluish-green.
Profile in cup
Arabica coffee featuring a strong, round body and delicate acidity. Peru MCM is balanced in the
cup and combines distinctive notes of chocolate and nuts with an extraordinary persistence. Lingering
aftertaste of butter and vanilla.
