Enrico Ghezzi will be president of the jury of Corto Moak 2013. Deadline of the announcement has been extended to July 22nd.

11.06 Enrico Ghezzi, film critic and TV author, will be president of the jury of Corto Moak 2013. Creator of Blob, the historical satirical programme shown on Raitre, and one of the founders of Fuori Orario – cose (mai) viste, broadcasted on Rai channel three, he also directed the Taormina Film Festival for about ten years. Nobody else could represent the jury of the Corto Moak competition, international short-film context promoted by Caffè Moak in cooperation with Archinet, better than him.
Enrico Ghezzi will be supported by a leading jury: journalist Cristina Borsatti, director Francesco Calogero and Giannandrea Pecorelli, film producer of “Violino Rosso”, which received an academy award, and of the film “Notte prima degli esami”.
Authors and filmmakers will have the honour to present their artworks to eminent manes of the national film panorama. The jury will choose the best short-films, which will be respectively awarded with prices for the Best Short-film, Best direction and Best Script.
Good news for those who were not able to send their short-films within June 10th, deadline of the announcement. The organization wanted to give directors more time to send their works, extending the deadline to coming July 22nd. “We decided – explains Alessandro di Salvo from Archinet – to extend the deadline of a month to send the works. We received much feedback from directors and authors in the last couple of days, even from abroad, asking for more time to complete their short-films and have the chance to take part in the contest”.
On the other hand, those who already sent their short-films, have time to review, adjust, rework them and send the final version within July 22nd
The free contest is addressed to all fictional, documentary, animated, video art short-film authors referring to coffee in its wider sense: plant, coffee bean, beverage, rite, mania, obsession, meeting place, need.
The short-films have to be made after January 1st, 2013 and can be sent via mail (on DVD/pal or Blue-ray/pal support) as well as through “wetransfer” on moak.wetransfer.com. Each author can only take part with one short-film, created in any language, including dialects, with a maximum running time of 15 minutes.
Names of the winners will be revealed during the prize-giving evening that will be held on October 5th in Modica, in the premises of the new Moak business district.
The complete announcement of the contest is available on www.caffe-corto.com
